The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Sous Chef
to join our kitchen leadership team. You will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, uphold our culinary standards, and inspire the brigade to deliver exceptional food at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
Oversee preparation, cooking, and presentation of all menu items
Maintain consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
Train, motivate, and develop junior kitchen staff
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
Manage stock levels, ordering, and wastage control
Contribute to menu planning and development
About You:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end or premium casual dining environment
Strong seafood knowledge and experience with South Asian or spice-led cuisine (Sri Lankan experience is a plus)
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Calm under pressure and able to deliver during high-volume service
Food hygiene certification (Level 3 preferred)
