Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and leading a team of culinary professionals. This position requires a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with an emphasis on fine dining and catering experiences.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that meet our high culinary standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality control measures. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and safety protocols. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during busy shifts. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations. Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests.

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary role within a dining environment or restaurant management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and cost control within the kitchen. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus.
