Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production. Assist in menu planning and the preparation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Maintain food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings. Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing food production processes. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. DBS needs to be on the update service.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From 15.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
