second pub

We are looking for a

Sous Chef

who shares our love of food, thrives on teamwork, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of our growing hospitality brand.

What you'll do

Work closely with our Head Chef to deliver exceptional, seasonal dishes that celebrate Somerset and the South West's finest produce. Support and inspire the kitchen team, leading by example and fostering a culture of respect, learning, and positivity. Take ownership of food preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish. Bring creativity and enthusiasm to menu development, contributing fresh ideas that excite both the team and our guests. Uphold kitchen standards, from food safety and hygiene to sustainability and minimising waste. Mentor and develop colleagues, helping the whole team thrive together. Maintain stock control and work efficiently to ensure smooth, successful services.
What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Sous Chef (or ready to step up into the role) in a quality hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a passion for provenance, seasonality, and exceptional produce. A natural leader who values teamwork, communication, and positivity. Calm and focused under pressure, with a drive to improve and grow. A positive, can-do attitude that helps lift the team and create a supportive kitchen culture.
