Pierre Victoire, a much-loved French Bistrot in Oxford, UK, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with traditional French cooking experience to develop professionally, contribute creatively, and grow within a respected restaurant.
We are a popular and busy 100 cover restaurant, open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. We cook traditionally, so no heatlamps, microwaves, or boil in the bag readymeals here! This is traditional but creative cooking.
As Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations. You will help ensure that dishes are prepared to the highest standards, maintain an efficient and safe working environment, and support the training and development of junior staff.

Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely service.
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for seasonal dishes.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Participate in cooking and food preparation as needed during busy service periods.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
