We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Duties
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings
Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and best practices
Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation
Ensure that the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and compliant with health regulations
Assist in managing kitchen schedules to optimise staff efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong leadership skills with effective communication abilities
Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable
