We're launching an exciting new Turkish restaurant this January and are looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone experienced in preparing starters, meze, and hot appetisers, while also providing strong support to the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations.
About the Role
As our Sous Chef, you'll be responsible for creating and cooking all starters and helping ensure smooth, efficient service throughout the kitchen. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain consistency, quality, and high food standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook all starters, meze, and hot/cold appetisers
Assist the Head Chef with food preparation across all sections
Help manage kitchen operations, ensuring quality and consistency
Ensure excellent food hygiene and safety practices
Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required
Work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Maintain a clean, organised workstation
Requirements
Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain standards
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, motivated, and dedicated to high-quality cooking
