The Arding Rooms is Clapham's first Private Members' Club, it is designed to feel like a second home, not a scene.

Our members have access to our stunning all day dining restaurant (think elevated bistro), incredible roof terrace and a beautiful dedicated event space.
Menus are seasonal, local, and simple, with an ethical, ingredient-led approach. From relaxed weekday lunches, to lively weekend brunches, we offer our members food that feels honest, beautiful, and bursting with flavour.
Alongside the main restaurant, we host a range of corporate and social events for our members and external clients, and the kitchen team work closely with the Events Manager to provide bespoke catering packages for these events.
We are now looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our talented team on a permanent basis.
Salary is 42k and ideally you can start ASAP.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen leadership Helping design and execute fresh, exciting menus Leading the team during busy services and keeping things running smoothly Training and mentoring junior chefs Managing orders, stock and costs efficiently Ensuring the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety The Club will be operate full service 7 days a week
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a quality-led kitchen Is passionate about flavour, freshness, and beautiful presentation Loves creating a calm, positive environment for the team - with no egos! Brings ideas to the table and isn't afraid to try something new Wants to be part of a club that feels like home - for members and staff
