We pride ourselves on our creativity, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service. We are currently seeking a motivated and organised Sous Chef - Events to be part of our dynamic and fast growing team.
Responsible for:
Support all event catering production and service, with support from the Head Chef - ensuring yourself and the team hit food production deadlines and maintain a high quality standard across all menu items.
Support with development of new menu items, including sustainability focused products and ingredients and respond to creative briefs in a prompt and accurate manner.
Lead on service key events across the city, from canape receptions to large sit down meals.
Able to independently organise yourself before events, ensuring MEP is organised and packed effectively for both yourself and your colleagues..
Support the Production Team with the production of delivery food items where required.
Maintain meticulous hygiene, health & safety and operation records.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Engage with the operations team across event planning, customer feedback and logistics to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Your experience
At least 3 years experience in a similar role with recent experience of large volume events, ideally already from an event catering company or hotel banqueting.
Demonstrable skills and knowledge across different culinary techniques - a qualification is desirable.
A passion for sustainable food practices, and experience in this field is a definite advantage.
Keen eye and creative flair for detail and design.
A stickler for technique and someone with an aversion to cutting corners.
Not afraid of getting stuck in - we are a start-up, and that means rolling with the punches and adapting to ever changing demands. Experience working with a fast-growth company is an advantage.
