We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for seasonal dishes.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste through efficient food production practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Handle any issues that arise during service, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment as a cook or chef.
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management within a kitchen setting.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and production.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead the kitchen team.
A relevant culinary qualification or certification is preferred but not essential.
