Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food production and safety. This position requires a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, along with excellent leadership and team management skills.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are served. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including managing staff schedules and delegating tasks effectively. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and skill development. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food costs to maintain budgetary guidelines. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Participate in special events or catering services as required.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, food preparation methods, and culinary trends. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is critical for maintaining a safe working environment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences is key to success in this role. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
