Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while leading a team of culinary professionals.

Duties



Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance culinary skills and performance. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality for all dishes served. Ensure efficient kitchen operations through effective shift management and team collaboration. Participate in catering events, providing exceptional service and culinary expertise. Uphold restaurant management practices to create a positive dining experience for guests.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff. Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and best practices in food service management. Experience with inventory management and control processes to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Culinary experience with a focus on fine dining, banquet service, or catering is highly desirable. Excellent cooking skills with an ability to prepare diverse cuisines while maintaining quality standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
