Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated
Sous Chef
to join our kitchen team at Santos + Co. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality standards, and leading the team by example. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef looking to grow within a creative and passionate kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and service.
Assist in menu development, preparation, and execution using seasonal, high-quality ingredients.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Supervise, train, and motivate junior kitchen staff.
Step into a leadership role during service and in the absence of the Head Chef.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
Work collaboratively with management to enhance the overall dining experience.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up.
Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and consistency.
Leadership qualities with the ability to support and guide a kitchen team.
Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
Passion for high-quality food and fresh ingredients.
