We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Magee's Wine Bar. In this role, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. You will play a vital role in maintaining a positive work environment and providing high quality small plates
Responsibilities
Assist in the management of kitchen staff, providing leadership and supervision to ensure efficient food production.
Support the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Skills
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising kitchen teams.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within hospitality.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required.
Experience in food production techniques and methods is highly desirable.

Pay: 27,000.00-32,000.00 per year
