We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that high standards of food quality and presentation are maintained. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Help with menu development, including creating new dishes and updating existing ones based on seasonal ingredients. Oversee the preparation of ingredients, ensuring they are fresh and of high quality. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels, assisting with ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment. Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Exceptional organisational skills to maintain an orderly kitchen operation.
