Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Handle any kitchen-related issues that arise during service.
Skills
Strong background in hospitality with experience in food production and preparation.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively within a busy kitchen environment.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and creativity in dish presentation.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster teamwork within the kitchen.
