We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on food production techniques and best practices.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Participate in special events or catering as required by the restaurant.
Skills
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Proficient in food preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary principles.
Experience working in a restaurant environment, preferably in a similar role.
Knowledge of food production processes and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food service.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
