Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure exceptional dining experiences. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels. Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to stay updated on industry trends. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs. Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
