Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team.

As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and presentation. Maintain food safety protocols and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offering Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. Help manage food costs and waste control to maximise profitability.
The menu includes higher end small plates and larger dishes which are prepared in house from raw ingredients, using local and respected suppliers. The kitchen is much respected in the city and the menu pairs fine dining with approachable small plates style. Beautiful presentation is key and a knowledge of pairing ingredients to make modern and original daily specials

Applicants should have an excellent command of English, have an energetic personality, have experience leading a team, menu creation and design, successful stock control and have experience cooking to order where nothing is pre-packaged
