We are looking for a sous chef to join us at The Bulls Head Inn, Ewhurst. We are a team of creative, supportive and energetic individuals with a common goal to create a professional and rewarding culture whilst fulfilling our enjoyment of the hospitality sector. The team are now on the hunt for a great sous chef to join working alongside our fabulous head chef bringing fresh ingredients and ideas to our seasonal changing menu where we create both pub classics alongside a feast of creative dishes to fit our customer needs.

The Position.

We're looking for a sous chef with experience, who is confident & proactive. You will continually commit to the highest standards of service and operations and working closely with the head chef and management team and have a responsibility for stock management and health and safety.

We are looking for a chef that has:

The ability to inspire, motivate and have a calm attitude for the smooth running of the kitchen. A warm, personable, and professional nature An eye for attention to detail. Understanding of food preparation. Passion for and knowledge of food. Working knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety requirements. Free meals on shift Pension

In return we are offering a salary package between 35,000 to 39,000 including tronc per annum. Negotiable on experience.

Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Oversee food production and presentation
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Requirements
- 3+ years proven experience as a Chef
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

- Must have legal documents to work in the UK

Live in is available - the live in is NOT free accommodation and will be an expense to the candidate. Details of which can be discussed at interview stage.
