Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a deep understanding of food preparation and production. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and leading the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations. Implement and maintain health and safety regulations within the kitchen to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. Assist in managing kitchen schedules to optimise staff productivity while maintaining excellent service levels.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen management. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff supervision. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service through high-quality food production.
