We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Oversee food production processes, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Prepare high-quality dishes in line with established recipes and customer expectations
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as necessary, and minimise waste through effective stock management
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery
Enforce food safety protocols and ensure all kitchen activities comply with relevant legislation
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Excellent team management and leadership capabilities
Extensive culinary experience with a focus on quality presentation and flavour balance
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
Hospitality industry awareness with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
