Duties



Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of dishes Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste Lead by example in food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing

Experience



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive food production background with strong skills in food preparation and cooking Demonstrated team management capabilities, including training and motivating staff Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations in a hospitality setting Previous restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality service delivery Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving procedures is desirable Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 31,200.00-37,000.00 per year
