We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the team in the daily operations of our cafe, ensuring that high standards of food production and presentation are maintained. This position requires a strong background in kitchens, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality.
We operate between the hours of 7am-5pm overing an excellent work life balance.
Duties
Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented beautifully.
Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Implement health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Help develop new menu items while adhering to seasonal availability and customer preferences.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Experience
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
