Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards of hospitality and culinary excellence.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and daily kitchen operations. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines and best practices. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and professional growth. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels. Ensure that the kitchen is clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations at all times. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.

Experience

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
