Salary 35k + tips circa 3k
We are seeking for an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to fulfil roles predominantly within our Orangery kitchen. You must be passionate about completely exuding Scottish Hospitality and aim to provide absolutely wonderful customer service.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
Confidently expedite the kitchen pass
Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients
Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organised for HACCAP
Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
Manage food and product ordering through procure wizard
Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
Verify that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
