We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. Salary up to 35,000 per year plus Tronc (3.00 per hour)
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food preparation standards and techniques.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
Help in planning menus and developing new recipes that align with seasonal ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food production and service during peak hours.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of food presentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods of food preparation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively.
