Position overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie looking for a step up or an established Sous looking for an creative opportunity. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
Oversee and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Take a hands-on approach in preparing and cooking dishes during service, maintaining an efficient and organised kitchen operation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards at all times.
Contribute creative ideas for menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local produce.
Collaborate with suppliers to source the freshest ingredients and maintain strong relationships with local producers.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a pub or gastro-pub setting.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for British cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including food costing, ordering, and stock control.
Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
