Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Help manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients. Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for food and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
