Overview

We are a family run BBQ restaurant. We are seeking for a passionate sous chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal Candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our head chef in daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentations. This position is great for someone wanting to take their skills to the next level we are looking for someone who can work with our head chef, present new ideas for menus, specials and food events.

Our current opening times are Wednesday- Sundays. we are seeking someone who can work weekends, evenings and some early mornings within these days. We do Daily tips that get shared within the whole team, after probation period we offer free food and paid breaks to our full time kitchen team.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and production. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Collaborate with the team to develop and refine menu items, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Oversee food presentation and plating to maintain high aesthetic standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Help resolve any issues that arise during service, ensuring smooth operations.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proven experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role within a fast-paced kitchen environment. Proficiency in food production techniques and culinary skills. Excellent team management abilities, with experience supervising kitchen staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
