We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely service. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for dishes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served. Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen efficiency and productivity. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques. Experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences. Previous experience in food production and serving is highly desirable.
