Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong background in culinary arts. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards of quality and safety. You will play a key role in leading the kitchen team, maintaining an efficient workflow, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties



Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus while ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food production. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. Help develop new recipes and menu items that align with restaurant concepts and customer preferences.

Requirements



Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or similar environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary methods, and food safety practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food production. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. A genuine passion for cooking and creating exceptional dishes that delight guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 15.00-19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
