Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with the ability to assist in managing kitchen operations effectively. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while supporting the Head Chef in supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food production.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen. Prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: 13.00-19.00 per hour
