We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and presentation standards are met. This role requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and teamwork to maintain a high-performing kitchen environment.

Duties



Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food production activities to ensure timely service. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and efficient kitchen operations. Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality before serving to guests. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cooking, plating, and serving as required.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices. Excellent cooking skills with an understanding of various cuisines and dietary requirements. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Previous experience in menu development is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
