Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in food preparation and production, ensuring that our culinary standards are met consistently. This position requires strong leadership abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing food production. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food storage effectively. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and kitchen operations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food service. A passion for cooking and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences for guests. Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is advantageous.
