Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the head chef, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service standards. Duties



Assist the head chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring to foster a cohesive team environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and smooth restaurant operations. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste. Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any faults or repairs needed promptly. Support the development of new dishes and menu innovations in collaboration with the culinary team. Uphold organisational policies related to health & safety, cleanliness, and food handling procedures.

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment. Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure. Solid knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices. Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines and service styles. Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in presentation and quality control. Good communication skills to coordinate efficiently with team members and front-of-house staff. A recognised culinary qualification is desirable but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience in hospitality settings. Pay: 34,000.00-36,000.00 per year
