Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and quality in all dishes. Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely service. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment. Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Help manage kitchen operations during peak service times, ensuring efficiency and quality. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment. Excellent leadership abilities, with experience supervising kitchen teams. A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional dining experiences. Proficient in food preparation methods, with an eye for detail in presentation. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
