Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a vital part of our kitchen operation, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and high standards of quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency. Support team development through training and mentoring junior staff members. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas.

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment. Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours. Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines is advantageous. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service through outstanding cuisine.
