We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Oversee food production, including portion control, presentation, and consistency across all menu items
Support food preparation activities, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction
Enforce food safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality presentation and flavour balance
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on customer service excellence
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
