Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that delight our guests. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food handling, and shift management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Manage food production processes to maintain quality standards while optimizing efficiency. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper equipment usage. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in various settings.

Skills

Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar role within the restaurant or catering industry. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with inventory control processes and menu planning strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff. A solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food. Experience in fine dining establishments is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
