We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires a strong background in food production and culinary arts, along with excellent leadership skills to supervise and motivate the kitchen team.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu specifications.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management and collaboration.
Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stock control of kitchen supplies.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
