Sous Chef

fixed-term contract for 1 month

, offering the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, creative environment at one of London's most talked-about dining destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all activities in the kitchen, including food preparation, production, and staff supervision. Support the Head Chef in ensuring efficient, cost-effective operation and profitability of food production. Oversee and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and perfect operating order. Ensure that food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently maintained. Take responsibility for the kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef. Uphold all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in line with restaurant specifications. Monitor food storage, stock rotation, and holding procedures, ensuring all food safety and sanitation regulations are met. Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff, supporting their development and maintaining a positive, productive working environment.

About You:

Previous experience in a Sous Chef role within a quality restaurant environment. Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills. A passion for fresh, seasonal produce and modern British cuisine. Excellent knowledge of kitchen management, health and safety, and food hygiene standards. Flexible, reliable, and calm under pressure.
