RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs food preparation and collaborates with executive chef
Handle allergen requirements
Monitor food stock rotation
Helps in the design of food and drink menu
Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste
Oversees and supervises kitchen staff
Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies
Ensures that food is top quality, and that kitchen is in good condition
Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards
Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen's performance
REQUIREMENTS:
Work experience as a sous/pizza chef or similar role in a restaurant
Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza doughs
Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen best practices
Good time-management skills and team spirit
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
Good with pressure and uncertainty
High school diploma or equivalent (desirable)
Diploma from a culinary school (desirable)
Right to work in the UK
