Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and that the team works harmoniously to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Duties



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety practices, and kitchen protocols. Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure consistency.

Skills



Proficient in food production techniques and culinary skills. Strong knowledge of food safety practices within a restaurant environment. Experience in supervising and managing a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with kitchen staff and management. Passion for cooking and creativity in food preparation.

Pay: 42,000.00-45,000.00 per year
