Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and manage team dynamics to foster a positive working environment. Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Train and mentor team members in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with management to plan menus that meet customer preferences while optimising ingredient usage. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations. Provide exceptional service during meal times, ensuring that all dishes are served promptly and to the highest quality.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a culinary or restaurant environment. Strong background in food production, including cooking and food preparation techniques. Excellent team management abilities, with a focus on leadership and staff development. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
