Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities. Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary ideas. Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any issues promptly.

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive food preparation, cooking, and culinary experience, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Sound knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods. Good understanding of hospitality operations including serving procedures. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. A passion for culinary arts coupled with leadership qualities to inspire the team. Pay: 48,000.00-56,000.00 per year
