As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
Oversee food production processes to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
Participate in cooking and preparing meals during service periods as needed.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food production.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
