About the Role:
As the Sous Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards, supporting the Head Chef, and leading the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
? Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing high-quality menus.
? Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards.
? Assist the head chef in training junior staff members, providing guidance and motivation.
? Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency.
? Assist in monitoring stock levels, manage inventory, minimise waste and assist in ordering supplies.
? Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and meet customer expectations.
? Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
? Assist with budgeting, cost control, and minimising food waste.
? Confidence to run a busy service in all sections
Requirements:
? Proven experience as a
Sous Chef
or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen.
? Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
? Excellent leadership and team management skills.
? Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
? Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional food.
? Strong organizational and communication skills.
