We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food production meets safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Maintain stock levels, organise inventory, and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Monitor food presentation and ensure consistency across all dishes served
Support the team during busy service periods, maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service
Enforce health and safety procedures within the kitchen environment
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in restaurants or hospitality establishments preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Excellent leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
