Job Summary:
As a Sous Chef at Osea Leisure Park/The View Cafe/Vaulty Manor Wedding/Events Venue, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, assisting in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes in a vibrant bar/cafe setting as well as our Wedding and Events Venue . You will work alongside the Head Chef to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests, contributing to the friendly and family-oriented atmosphere that defines our Venues.
Duties:
- Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes are served promptly and meet high standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Contribute to menu planning by suggesting seasonal offerings and catering to diverse tastes
- Manage inventory levels and place orders to maintain supplies as per demand
- Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Oversee kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring efficiency and timely meal delivery
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on procedures and maintaining consistency in food presentation
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively
- Profound knowledge of kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- Passion for creating innovative dishes while honouring traditional favourites
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully
- Experience in team management and training staff members for success
